Role Overview – Supplier Quality Engineer

Are you an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer looking to take a leading role in strengthening supply chain performance within a highly regulated engineering environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join a global aerospace manufacturer as they continue to enhance supplier capability, ensure compliance, and drive world‑class standards across their supply base.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will act as a key technical interface between suppliers, internal teams, and customers—ensuring that supplied materials, components and processes meet stringent aerospace requirements. You’ll lead supplier audits, drive Zero Defect initiatives, support APQP activity, and ensure robust corrective action across the supply chain.

This is an on‑site role based in Coventry, involving regular collaboration with suppliers, engineering, quality and procurement teams, as well as periodic travel within the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities – Supplier Quality Engineer

  • Providing quality support to the supply chain and internal value streams
  • Leading supplier performance improvement initiatives and supplier‑related continuous improvement
  • Planning and conducting supplier audits in line with AS9100 and internal requirements
  • Supporting the deployment of the Zero Defect programme across key suppliers to reduce DPPM
  • Ensuring prompt containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5‑Why, Cause & Effect
  • Reviewing and approving supplier FAIRs to AS9102 requirements
  • Working with suppliers to ensure compliance to AS9100, Part 21 and customer‑specific regulations
  • Analysing non‑conformance and quality data to recommend improvements
  • Supporting source transfer activities and supplier development programmes
  • Collaborating closely with procurement, engineering and operations to resolve supply chain issues
  • Supporting APQP processes including PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans and PPAP
  • Ensuring documentation, records and compliance evidence are accurate, complete and audit‑ready

Key Experience & Qualifications – Supplier Quality Engineer

  • Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated engineering/manufacturing sector
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO9001 and aerospace supplier quality requirements
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and driving supplier development
  • Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA and root cause analysis tools
  • Understanding of Part 21 Subpart G and (ideally) Part 145 requirements
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence and challenge suppliers
  • Hands‑on, proactive approach with strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
  • Experience with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems
  • Engineering or technical qualification, or equivalent industry experience

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team.

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in Distribution sites across Milton Keynes/Daventry

You will be the first line in all maintenance issues throughout your allocated site. You may be required to request specialist attendance following initial call out.

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM’s. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.  

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Technician

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.  Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.  Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.  Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance  Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs  Follow purchase order process.  Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.  Ensure that compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times

Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Technician

NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.  City and Guilds 2382 18th editionAM2/23913 phase electrics and its applications  Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support site operations on a 4-month contract basis. This role is outside IR35 and is well suited to contractors with a strong hands-on mechanical background.

The position is mechanically biased, with a strong focus on valves, mechanical repairs, and plant maintenance, alongside basic electrical fault-finding support where required.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance on site plant and equipment.Diagnose faults and complete strip-downs, repairs, and rebuilds of valves, pumps, and mechanical assemblies.Perform mechanical repairs on pipework, fittings, and associated systems.Respond efficiently to breakdowns to minimise downtime.Support basic electrical fault-finding on motors, sensors, and control equipment where necessary.Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical equipment.Accurately complete maintenance documentation.Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety, confined space, and permit-to-work procedures.Work collaboratively with site teams to maintain equipment reliability.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician within an industrial, process, or manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical skillset with hands-on experience working on valves, pumps, pipework, and mechanical repairs.Experience fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems.Basic electrical awareness.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals.Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).

Advantageous Certifications

IPAF (Powered Access Licence)Confined Space Certification

Desirable Experience

Experience in process, utilities, water, energy, or heavy industrial environments.Familiarity with CMMS systems.Experience working on shutdowns, outages, or project-based maintenance work.
