Position: Rigger (Contract)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Rigger to join a major engineering construction project in Deeside on a 5-6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for lifting, moving, and securing heavy equipment, plant and materials, ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out rigging, lifting, and hoisting operations in line with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Inspect and maintain lifting gear, slings, shackles, and other rigging equipment.
  • Work closely with crane operators and site teams to ensure safe and precise lifting.
  • Read and interpret lifting plans, blueprints, and method statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Rigger Certification (CSCS Gold Card / NVQ Moving Loads )
  • Experience working on engineering or construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of lifting techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Ability to work at heights and in challenging environments
  • Commitment to safe working practices
