Our client, a global leader in aerospace innovation, is seeking a Qualification Engineer to support the development and qualification of advanced safety-critical technologies across both commercial and defence aviation sectors. Role Overview – Qualification Engineer
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll play a central role in the verification, qualification, and certification of complex aerospace systems. You will work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams, engage with customers, and contribute to delivering the next generation of aircraft systems to the highest standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities – Qualification Engineer
- Execute system-level verification including system tests, qualification tests, and flight tests
- Prepare and maintain detailed qualification plans, procedures, and reports
- Support system certification and customer approval processes
- Adhere to rigorous configuration control and change management protocols
- Contribute to task estimation, risk assessments, and project planning
- Provide clear and timely communication with customers and stakeholders
- Work cross-functionally with engineering teams and internal departments globally
- Liaise with external partners and sub-contractors as needed
Key Experience & Qualifications – Qualification Engineer
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making abilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, evaluate, and present complex data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Background in the aerospace sector
- Experience conducting Environmental and EMC qualification testing
- Familiarity with DO-160G and/or equivalent military testing standards
