Role Overview – CNC Turner
Our leading aerospace client is seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join their innovative team in Wolverhampton. With a culture built on collaboration and precision, this is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about engineering excellence within the aerospace industry. This is a day shift role.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Turner
- Set up, operate, and manage multiple CNC machines and processes to produce high-precision components.
- Perform first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks to ensure parts meet stringent aerospace standards.
- Complete and maintain accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports and production records.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure components are machined to exact tolerances.
- Select and optimize appropriate tooling and machining parameters to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, adjusting programs or setups as needed to maintain production flow.
- Collaborate with the Parts Generation Team to support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
- Ensure machines are maintained and cleaned regularly, reporting any maintenance needs to the Team Leader.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Requirements – CNC Turner
- Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace sector.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
- Expertise in multi-axis or complex machining environments.
- Keen attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
- Proficiency in using inspection techniques and equipment to achieve precise drawing tolerances.
