My client is on the lookout for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their team where you will be working across East Midlands.

You will be responsible for ensuring that refrigeration systems are Serviced & Maintained correctly which include heavy commercial and Industrial systems (CO2, Freon, and Chilled water applications - Ammonia experience advantageous, but not essential)

You will be working closely with the Service admin team, Service Supervisors, and other senior service engineers to ensure that the refrigeration systems meet the required specifications and standard for our clients. You will need to make sure clients systems are running to their optimum condition to meet site operating requirements, always ensuring safe systems of work.

Qualifications & Experience - Refrigeration Engineer

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
  • Relevant qualifications: City & Guilds Refrigerant handling 2079, CO2 (Ammonia would be advantageous but not essential)
  • Proven experience in large commercial, or industrial refrigeration
  • Previous experience in a senior role
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of electrical controls
  • Up to date knowledge of COSHH regulations
  • Understanding of the principles of refrigeration and of the comprising components
  • Servicing of systems utilising approved methods and practices
  • Excellent skills in diagnostics to identify & resolve system failures
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • CSCS approved
  • Work within current Health and Safety guidelines
  • Full driving licence
  • Operation of Mobile Elevated Working Platform

On Offer - Refrigeration Engineer

  • £50K - £55K (DOE)
  • On call 1 week in 4 (Standby fee £225.00 per week)
  • 40 hour week - 8am to 4:30pm
  • 25 days + 8 bank holidays
  • Travel time door to door
  • Van, fuel card, tools
  • Company Pension - Employer 3% and Employee 5%

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading aerospace organisation developing advanced avionics technology for commercial and military aircraft. The role is focused on the verification, qualification and testing of safety-critical systems, ensuring products meet demanding customer, regulatory and certification requirements prior to release.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will support products throughout the development lifecycle, playing a key role in proving system performance, demonstrating compliance and supporting certification activities.

 

Main Duties - Systems Verification & Qualification Engineer

Degree, HNC or HND qualified in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineExperience working within aerospace, defence or another highly regulated engineering environmentStrong experience in verification, validation, qualification or integration testing of complex engineering systemsExperience developing test plans, test procedures, verification reports and compliance documentationExperience analysing test data and demonstrating compliance against customer or regulatory requirementsUnderstanding of safety-critical systems and engineering lifecycle processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
